The 11th Malaysia Plan aims to expand Malaysia’s GDP by 5-6% per annum from the year 2016 to 2020, special incentives by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) of up to RM1.3 billion funds have been placed to further encourage local innovation through R&D.
