APPLICATIONS
Masterwall Xstex interior panel provided an effective means of controlling reverberation time and reflected sound in rooms. They are applied in studio’s conference Centre’s, cinemas, auditoria and offices where high acoustic absorption, combined with aesthetically pleasing appearance in required. Wall panel for industrial application such as engine enclosures, test cells and workshops are also available.
DEscriptION
Masterwall Xstex panels are acoustically absorbent, fabric covered panel of a composite construction. The standard covering is an acoustically transparent woven textile fabric. Bespoke panels, of specific size, fabric can be manufactured upon request. For industrial applications, facing of 200gsm/m2 glass cloth or white PU where a wipe down procedure is specified can be supplied.

FIRE PERFORMANCE
Masterwall Xstex acoustic panel conform to the following specifications:
- The Xstex panel core is non-combustible
- Master standard fabric covering complies with BS 479:1987 to class 1.
When faces with the Masterwall standard fabric, Xstex panels comply with fire test BS 476: Parts 6&7 to give UK Building Regulations Class ‘O’ performance.
ACOUSTIC PERFORMANCE
Masterwall Xstex panel work in two distinct ways to reduce noise, by impeding the transmission of sound. The noise absorption co-efficient is expressed as a factor between 0 and 1.0. The more sound that a material absorbs, the higher the noise absorption co-efficient.
