What is it for?

How it works?

TDP stands for "Te_diing Dian-ci-bo Pu", that is the Pin Yin pronunciation for "Special Electromagnetic Spectrum". Te-Ding means means special. Dian-ci-bo Means electromagnetic and Pu means Spectrum. It is a new type of device invented in China in 1980 by a group of scientists and physicians, headed by Dr. Gou Wenbin at the Chinese Medicine Institute in Chongqing Unlike conventional infrared therapeutic devices, the TDP Machine features a plate coated with a proprietary mineral formation consisting of 33 elements. In the world of physics (and hence the universe), everything exists in the form of electromagnetic waves or simply EMW of various wave lengths. The characteristics and effects of everything can be defined by the wave length of the associated EMW.
When the EMW has wavelength between 0.5 micron to 0.9 micron ( a length of 0.000001 cm), human senses or perceives its existence in the form of light. The EMW with wave length of 0.5 micron appears blue in color. The EMW with wave length of 0.9 micron appears as red while EMW having wave lengths between 0.5 micron and 0.9 micron are perceived as other colors between blue and red. When the EMW has wave length from 0.9 micron to 50m, human perceives it as heat. The EMW in this wave length region is given the name of infrared. For the infrared with wave length close to red color (which has a wave length of 0.9 micron), normally between 0.9 micron to 2 micron, it is called near infrared. For the infrared with wave length beyond 2 micron up to 50 micron, it is called FAR INFRARED
What is TDP heating plaster (Natural Heating Physical Therapeutic Plaster) is designed to generate FAR INFRARED with wave lengths between 2 to 50 micron. The key to the TDP plaster is the TDP radiator, or simply the emission plate, which appears as a black disk in the center of the plaster. It is a plate coated with carbon impregnated enamel which, in physics terms, functions as a black body radiator. When this emission plate is heated, it emits EMW with wave length in the far infrared range. In a simple term, the emission plate converts the near infrared into far infrared.
Human body responds differently to EMW of different wave lengths. Visible light waves (with wave length between 0.5 micron to 0.9 micron) are simply bounced off the body surface and the body feels nothing. The human body perceives near infrared as heat. The near infrared is mostly absorbed at the skin level and raises the skin temperature (so-called selective absorption).
The body also feels heat with far infrared. However, far infrared penetrates beyond the skin level and propagates deeper into the body. In addition, far infrared is absorbed more efficiently by the cells below the skin level as well as at the skin level. Therefore, the heating effect generated by far infrared is much deeper. Since the ability of the body to sense heat is taking place at the skin level, the body can not readily distinguish the skin level heating effect from the deeper heating effect. The deep heating effect produced by far infrared promotes bioprocesses such as increased metabolism, increased blood circulation and has found to yield therapeutic effects on the human body by
