Dock levelers are also known as dock boards or dock plates. It is a devices used to bridge the gap between the dock and the trailer during and loading and unloading. Many trailers come in with bed heights either above or below the height of the dock. Dock levelers move up and down to meet the trailer bed so that forklifts can make a smooth, safe transition into and out of the trailer.
