DYQ4 series liquid resistor starter (for short starter as follow) is a new starter prepared for improving the starting property of high voltage squirrel-cage alternating current asynchronously motor. It can induce the impact which is brought to motor starting current on power system, and improve the start smoothness with equipment by voltage-reduced starting by way of liquid resistance. It can protect the motor avoid harm by over-load, phase failure, short circuit etc. It is the prefect starting production instead of auto-induction voltage-reduced starter.
The device is composed of resistor, high-voltage soft start controller, isolating cabinet, changeover cabinet and star point controller. We supply in full sets. The device can start motor and play a protected action on motor start process, when connect it in motor start circuit.
This resistor is composed of three phase balancing resistor which have negative temperature characteristic, when the current is past through resistor, the temperature of resistor gradually increase and its resistance gradually decrease, then the terminal voltage of motor gradually raise and the start torque gradually increase, so the motor can start smoothly and the start current can be decreased.
DYQ4 series high-voltage resistance soft starter is suitable for large and medium high-voltage squirrel-cage asynchronous motor or asynchronously-started synchronous motor, to voltage-reduced starting. The motor which start by this device have soft start characters like with low and constant starting current, torque increased gradually etc. In start process, without current and mechanical shock, as well as have little impact on power system, and without electromagnetic interference. It is the prefect production instead of starting reactor auto-induction voltage-reduced starter. And compare with high-voltage inverter soft starter, DYQ4 have many evident advantages: simple operation, without maintenance and no pollution of harmonic wave etc.
