Suction cups/grippers

Using suction cups is a lifting technique of many possibilities. You can, for example, handle board materials or concrete slabs, open bags, pick electronic components, label and hold objects. But different applications need different requirements. Piab offers one of the market’s widest ranges of suction cups so that each application will have its own solution. COAX® technology Piab's patent technology platform is an offshoot of the multistage technology

COAX® ensures excellent performance at both low and high feed pressures – ideal for situations where compressed air lines deliver air at low or fluctuating pressures. Pumps based on the COAX® technology can operate within the range of 0.17 to 0.60 MPa.

Multi-stage ejector

Piab vacuum pumps are of the multi-stage ejector type – a technology patented by PIAB in 1973. These vacuum pumps were developed to provide extra vacuum flow in combination with deep maximum vacuum levels while keeping energy consumption at a minimum. Piab pumps have no moving parts that vibrate or wear out –important features that contribute heavily to outstanding operational reliability and a pleasant, noise-free working environment.

P5010

P5010 is a MIDI COAX® based vacuum pump model. It has been developed to fit in the same “family” as the P3010, with the patented compact and modular housing/connection modules. At the heart of the P5010 is a newly developed COAX® vacuum cartridge based on the push-in principle. The energy efficient P5010 is designed mainly for automated vacuum handling applications with robots or dedicated machines (for example packaging machines). P5010 has been developed for requirements found in industries such as the plastic, automotive, consumer goods, graphic and glass industries. The vacuum pump is easy to configure in order to optimize performance and functionality and is available with one or two MIDI COAX® push-in cartridges. It is also optional to choose 2-stage or 3-stage push-in cartridges. The cartridges are available in three different push-in characteristics, Si, Pi and Xi.
