Water, dirt, worn particles and degraded lubricating oil are normally present in compressed air and can be an abrasive sludge which will affect the performance of your machineries. The acidic sludge causes the machine's efficiency to downhill as the particles may create problems to the pneumatic system of your machineries, blocking the valves, corroding the piping systems and causing air leaks which in turn may result in expensive maintenances.

To prevent the above problems, the compressed air has to be thoroughly cleaned and dried to ensure your machines' longevity and maintain the costs down. Airflux Dryers adopts the principle of refrigerated air drying process to eliminate water vapor. By cooling the compressed air to a certain temperature, the gaseous water in the compressed air is condensed into a liquid form, separated with a water separator and then discharged by using an automatic water drain valve.



Build-in Pre-cooler
The cooling air is simply outside air that is propelled across the tubes by inducing or forcing outside air across the tubes. The hot ambient air is brought into the pre-cooler where it comes on direct contact with very cool water. The cooling water is recirculated through the cellular cooling media within the pre-cooler.

Air to Air Heat Exchanger
The counter flow of the compressed air in the air to air heat exchanger ensure maximum heat transfer.

Evaporator
(air to refrigerant heat exchanger) The evaporator removes heat from the compressed air and transfers it to the cold refrigerant. The saturated refrigerant evaporates with the heat from the compressed air. Superheated vapour is then returned to the compressor.

Condensate Separator
The high efficiency condensate separator is located within the heat exchanger module, No maintenance is required and the coalescing effect

Condensate Drain
An energy efficient, no air loss drain mounted at the bottom of the module removes the separated condensate.

Capillary Expander
The capillary expander reduces the pressure of the liquid refrigerant to ensure the correct refrigerant flow rate enters the evaporator. This provides maximum heat exchange, and correct compressed air dewpoint. Simple design with no moving parts offers increased reliability.

Filter/Dryer
The filter dryer removes moistures or particulate that may be present in the refrigerant system.

Condenser
The condenser receives the hot, high pressure vapour from the compressor and cools it. The heat added to the refrigerant is exchanged with the cooling air flow. Condensation occurs as the refrigerant passes through the condenser and high pressure, sub-cooled liquid is formed to feed the capillary expander.

Hot Gas By-pass Valve
The precise and accurate hot gas by pass valve, which prevents the formation of ice inside the evaporator at any load condition, This is a recent development unavailable in the past. The valve is set during final test and no further adjustment are necessary.

Refrigeration Compressor
This compressor forms part of a closed loop system compressing the refrigerant and circulating it around the system.
