Heatless dryer is the simplest method to obtain class 1 dryness in compressed air. Pressure dew point of -40°C and -70°C is easily obtainable at relatively low cost. It does not required heat to regenerate the desiccant, only required certain amount of purge air for regenerate. As a rule of thumb a -40°C PDP will require 15% - 17% purge loss and -70°C require 21% - 25% purge loss.
In a normal 3000Nm³/hr heatless desiccant dryer, will require to purge 510Nm³/hr of dry air to regenerate the desiccant for achieve the -40°C dew point and 750Nm³/min purge loss to achieve -70°C dew point. All this losses is very expensive. To reduce the energy, we must reduce these purge loss but able to maintain the required dew point. With Filterall Heatless vacuum purge technology the purge loss is only 2.5% of the inlet flow for -40°C PDP dew point and 3.5% for -70°C PDP dew point. Example for -40°C PDP dew point, our heatless vacuum purge technology uses only 75m³/hr of dry air for regeneration insist of 510m³/hr for normal heatless desiccant dryer, and this flow is increase by expending the air to vacuum pressure to get the flow for regeneration. The vacuum flows here reach 375Nm³/hr. Therefore there is enough energy for a complete regeneration for the desiccant.
