Detailed Description

Coated Abrasive Wheels Fan Grinders - Pic (9824 bytes)COATED ABRASIVE WHEELS - FAN GRINDERS

Type A ( Aluminium Oxide ) :
The laminas holding the abrasive grain are arranged like a fan around the shaft to irregular surfaces. The abrasive grain is securely surfaces. The abrasive grain is securely bonded with heavy-duty resins. Best results are achieved when run at high speed.

Applications :

  • Fine grinding work on large irregular surfaces in tool and mould making
  • Working in smaller and difficult to reach areas in tank construction and apparatus engineering.
  • Available with threaded bushing on request.

COATED ABRASIVE WHEELS - FLAP WHEELS

Flap Wheels are design for grinding flat or irregular surfaces. Because of their softness and flexibility, the coated abrasive laminas adapt easily to the work-piece.

Fields of Application:
Good finishing of flat, concave and convex surfaces. Internal grinding and non-ferrous metals.

Drives:
Hand tools and stationary machines e.g. flexible shaft machines or floor stand grinders. A power drive of 1500 watts minimum is require.

Tips of Use:
Flap wheels can be used either dry or with oil. At lower speed use less working pressure. Excessive pressure should not be used as this can damage the laminas. When working with feed, the rotating directions tool/work-piece should be opposite. The same rotating direction will cause the grinding performance to be neutralized and the wheel to be destroyed. Flap wheels are mounted with two clamping flanges.
