17th Malaysia Int'l Jewellery Festival 2011

17th Malaysia International Jewellery Festival 2011 – Autumn Edition (MIJ’11) will be held again at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on October 7th – 10th, 2011.   This event has been officially recognized as the Biggest Jewellery Event in Malaysia by Malaysia Book of Records since 1997. Exhibitors of Malaysia Jewellery Festival come from 15th countries and regions such as Hong Kong, Malaysia, China, Italy, Taiwan, Japan, India, Sri-Lanka, Cambodia, Poland etc.  Unique extensive showcase of high end and a wide collection of jewelleries and timepieces from all over the world are found in MJF11. Each year, Malaysia Jewellery Festival (MJF) attracts more than 13,500 international trade buyers, retailers, public visitors and Malaysian royalties as well.

o   Effective from 2011, Malaysia government has restructured the duty and tax policy on the most of the imported luxury products.

o   An import duty on approximately 300 luxurious items and jewellery is one of the categories. This new policy is aiming to promote Malaysia as a duty-free heaven for luxurious shopping for tourist and local people.

o   Apart from positioning Malaysia as the preferred destination for oversea traders and tourists in the near future, this new policy is boosting the economy of Malaysia, in order to reach the next level of stability for foreign investors to wisely invest into Malaysia.
 

o   Visitors under the age 18 will not be admitted

o   Proper attired needed.

o   No camera, video-recorder, hand-carried luggage allowed

o   The organizer reserves the right to request Identity checking on suspicious looking visitor and expel him/her  from the site
