Our updated pilot operated 2 port solenoid valve, VXD Series, is 7% smaller than former conventional models, whilst still delivering big benefits to customers. The renewed VXD Series supports our commitment to developing new innovations to drive energy savings for customers; it's not only more compact, but uses less power. Ideal for air, water, oil, heated water and high temperature oil applications, ranging from car wash centres to oil lines in process industries, the VXD Series is available in a wide range of body materials - aluminium, resin, brass and stainless steel - and offers low concentration ozone resistant and oil free options. Labour savings can also be enjoyed, as the air version with resin body offers a built-in one-touch fitting option. Other features include a rubber buffer that reduces the valve's operating noise levels and thanks to a special construction, its life-span has been extended. It also has an improved OFF response when operated with high viscosity fluids such as oil.

Industrial applications requiring a 2 port solenoid valve now have an enhanced option following the release of our new, improved VX2 Valve Series. Developed as a part of our on-going product improvement programme, the new Series VX2, which is suitable for air, medium vacuum, water or oil, now offers considerable performance advantages when compared to our previous VX21 solenoid valve model. With its modern urban white outer appearance, Series VX2 is around 10% smaller and 30% lighter compared to our old Series VX21 valve due in part to its resin and aluminium body construction, yet it still delivers around 20% increased flow rate performance. Incorporating a rubber bumper to reduce valve noise during operation and featuring one touch fitting for speed of installation, Series VX2 offers improved durability and reduced apparent power - up to 20VA.

At SMC we are continuously investing in research and development to refine and improve the performance and functionality of our products as well as develop new innovations to drive energy savings and deliver competitive advantages for our customers. The relaunch of the popular VDW series, compact direct operated 2 port solenoid valve, is a good representation of that. VDW´s main feature is its IP65 enclosure, which protects the valve against dust and water sprayed from all directions. Also, with the size one conventional model being 10% smaller and more lightweight, the VDW can be used in narrow spaces, making it extremely flexible. The VDW uses less power, from as little as 2.5W up to 3W in the larger model and apparent power of 2.5VA and 3VA, when compared to similar products. This makes it ideal for dental units, water curtain manufacture and lens polishing processes that use air, medium vacuum and water applications that don't require a large flow. Available in a wide range of body materials with two new additions, Aluminium and PPS resin, combined with the existing options of Brass C37 and Stainless Steel, the VDW also has two seal material options of NBR and FKM.

Our latest dust collector, 2 port solenoid or air operated valve, VXF Series, is now available with a wide range of port sizes from ¾" to 4" to accommodate the large bore market and industries such as iron and steel. With direct and flange piping, the VXF Series can be used in any system or industrial plant of any scale. A double diaphragm guarantees a high speed response. Its large opening sizes result in large discharge flow rates and its low minimum operating pressure allows low compressor power consumption. The VXF Series' renewed construction has extended the service life and reduced its operating noise, whilst consuming low energy of just 4.5W in most models. It has its own six or ten output controller, VXFC, featuring a dual pulse function that improves the dusting efficiency of the bag filter and is able to interrupt operations from an external switch.

The VXZ series is a 2 port, pilot operated solenoid valve capable of operating at higher differential pressures by maintaining a zero differential pressure on the seat. The molded coil offers low power consumption, long life and high reliability.

The VN external pilot solenoid series offers 5 models of 2 and 3 port valves for general purpose use. Model VNA process valve is for compressed air and air-hydro circuit control. Model VNB for flow control permits application with a wide variety of fluids such as air, water, oil, gas and vacuum. VNC is a coolant valve available in a wide selection of port sizes and variations. The high pressure coolant valve, series VNH, is ideal for lubrication, dust blowing and cooling. By the adoption of a PTFE seal, the VND valve is suited for steam applications (max. 180°C).

Series LVM is a compact, direct acting, 2/3 port solenoid valve for chemicals. The unique construction reduces residual liquid to a minimum. Superior resistance to chemicals requires less maintenance. Service life (based on SMC test conditions) is 10 million cycles or more.

Industrial applications requiring precise fluid control now have an energy saving option with the launch of a new generation of zero differential pressure; pilot and direct operated 2 port solenoid valves - Series VXE from world leaders SMC.Developed as part of SMC´s Energy Saving Programme, these new solenoid valves are based on SMC´s popular Series VX valves, but with the addition of some unique power saving features. Using the Pulse Width Modulation method (PWM), an in-built power saving circuit ensures exactly the same valve performance from the new VXE whilst achieving 30% less power consumption - when holding- compared to the standard VX range. Further benefits of this reduced power consumption are a dramatic reduction in coil heat - of up to 50% - and reduced CO2 emissions.Suitable for use with water, air and oil, Series VXE, which is both RoHS directive compliant and IP65 enclose approved, is currently available in both single unit and manifold options, in a comprehensive range of sizes, and in both 12 and 24 volt direct current models.Additional benefits of the new Series VXE development have ensured that these energy efficient valves are fully inter-changeable with the Series VX ranges, plus current VX users can also replac their valve's coil with this new power saving version.

Following industry requests for a low maintenance, direct operated 2 port solenoid valve with long life performance, our R&D engineers have answered the challenge with our new Series VXK, with its unique in-built filter. Designed to improve valve performance and to stop leakage, the VXK´s integral stainless steel 100 mesh filter unit, effectively removes any foreign matter in the circulating fluids thereby protecting downstream equipment and, at the same time, ensuring longer valve life. Further benefits of this space saving design are realized in the reduced time required for maintenance as the Y shaped filter can be easily removed without the need to disassemble piping. Series VXK is interchangeable in port size and voltage with our popular VX2 Solenoid range and shares many of the same performance features. Available in both AC or DC power options and both closed and open valve types, the VXK has IP65 enclosure accreditation and is ideal for use with air, water, oil or steam at pressures up to 3.0MPa and with fluid between -20 to +60ºC.

Industry requests for a competitively priced zero differential solenoid valve for steam applications have now been answered with the launch of our new Series VXS 2 port solenoid valve range. Developed with high performance in mind, this compact range of lightweight, solenoid valves have been designed to operate with no need for differential pressure. Considerably quieter than similar valves, thanks to their special construction and full wave class H rectifier type AC solenoid valve, Series VXS also use a pilot type piston to operate the valve which provides excellent resistance. Further construction features include, the use of moulded flame resistant materials for the coil (conforming to UL94V-0), special FKM material for both the valve and seal, which reduce internal leakage to 1.0cm3/min or less, and improved life cycle and valve reliability. The new VXS valve series is also RoHS compliant and meets IP65 enclosure guidelines.

The VQ20/30 series is a pilot operated, two port multi-media valve. The series is compact and lightweight with a large flow capacity. The VQ20/30's long life, high speed coil (up to 20 million cycles at 100cps for pneumatic use) along with its all plastic construction, make it an excellent choice for those who want high performance at a lower cost.

Process Industry and PET machine builder's requests for both 2 and 3 port, pilot operated, solenoid valves, with high pressure performance are now answered with the launch of SMC's latest Series VCH range.Designed for use with air or inert gas, these new valves can operate up to a maximum pressure of 5.0 MPa thereby substantially exceeding SMC's existing VXH high pressure series. With large flow passages, and ISO1179-1 conforming port thread sizes of G1/2 to G1, high flow rates are ensured and due to a reduction in the overall volume of the pilot chamber their responsiveness can now only be measured in milliseconds.Additionally, the VCH range offers enclosure protection equivalent to IP65 and a DIN type electrical connector as standard and due to its unique collision-less armature construction, with rubber buffers and urethane diaphragm, early indications have confirmed that the valves operation life time will exceed 10 million cycles.Currently the VCH Series is available in four different valve configurations; 2 port valve normally closed - VCH41, 2 port valve normally open - VCH 42, our 3 port option - VCH410, plus a check valve - VCHC40.

If you need a compact, lightweight, direct operated 2 port solenoid valve for use with water or air we now have the perfect solution following the launch of our new Series VDW 30/40-XF range. Developed for a wide range of industrial applications these multipurpose solenoid valves, with their PPS resin body construction, are around 50% lighter than our existing VDW range. With single valve volumes of 30 x 48 x 50mm and 36 x 56 x 56mm respectively, these valves are particularly suitable for use in dispenser and automatic tap applications and fuel cell cogeneration systems. Available with an optional power saving circuit, which reduces the standard valve's energy consumption from 3w to 0.5w, further selections include the choice of 45º or 90º right or left-hand side electrical entry and either quick fastener or one-touch body piping, thereby ensuring simple and efficient valve installation.

With the advantages of increased productivity and improved cutting efficiency, high speed machining is now becoming the accepted industry trend. However one disadvantage of this approach is the need for increased coolant flow requiring additional power consumption. With extensive energy saving experience, R&D engineers from SMC, the world's leading automation experts recognised this problem and their new Series SGC coolant valve, with both CE and RoHS accreditation, now provides the perfect, fast machine tool, answer.Due to the SGC's unique scraper, squeeze seal, grease channel and dry bearing construction, tests have already confirmed that the valve's service life will exceed 5 million cycles. Impressively, power consumption has also been reduced by up to 92% and flow rates have been improved by 20 - 30% compared to SMC's existing VNC range. Further design features include the introduction of a built-in magnet which allows auto switches to be fitted enabling you to confirm whether the valve is open or closed.Available as air or pilot operated, the current SGC Series can be ordered in three body sizes with Kv factors of 5,5, 10.1 and 15.7 respectively and normally closed, or normally open options. Three pressure range specifications are also available and four port sizes can be selected in either Rc, G, NPT or NPTF thread options.

Series VXD, pilot 2 port solenoid valve for air, gas, water and oil. VXD can be quickly disassembled and reassembled. Variations include, energized open (N.C) and energized closed (N.O) valve, solenoid coil (class B, class H), brass/BC6 or stainless steel body material and NBR, FPM, EPR seal materials.

The VDW20/30 series is a compact, direct operated, 2 port solenoid valve for water, air and vacuum. The use of a unique magnetic material reduces the operating resistance of moving parts, improving service life, wear and corrosion resistance.

Series VC is a multipurpose, direct operated, 2 port solenoid valve for air. Special construction reduces operating resistance and moving parts for improved longevity and wear resistance. A built-in rectifier eliminates AC coil burning and buzzing. The VC enclosure is IP65 equivalent.
